Sherry's Story

Sherry L. Sunseri Sniezek, 51, of 423 McCaslin Road, New Castle, passed away after fighting a courageous battle with breast cancer for more than 12 years, with her boys by her side.
Sherry lived her life to the fullest. She died on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at the University of Miami Hospital.
Sherry was born on Oct. 28, 1966, in New Castle to her loving parents, Philip S. and Mary Ann Gervase Sunseri. They both survive in New Castle.
Sherry was married to Henry J. Sniezek for 23 years.
She was Roman Catholic and a member of St. Vitus Parish.
Sherry worked for the former Jameson Hospital as an EKG technician for many years.
She was a loving homemaker for her family, especially for her two sons.
She graduated from Lawrence County Vocational Technical School, class of 1984.
Sherry loved the outdoors; she was an avid water-skier and enjoyed boating with her family.
Sherry was very active with the Par for the Cure foundation here in Lawrence County.
A special thanks to her dear friend, Bob Paglia, for all his time and compassion while helping her during her treatments in Florida, and to Dr. Sheryl Simon for all she has done.
In addition to her parents and husband, Henry, survivors include her two sons, Henry P. Sniezek and Aaron J. Sniezek, both of New Castle; stepson, Kurtis H. (Jackie) Sniezek of Beaver Fall; brother, Philip J. (Andrea) Sunseri of New Castle; two nephews, Philip and Noah Sunseri of New Castle; and two stepgrandchildren, Brooke and Scarlet Sniezek of Beaver Falls.
Sherry was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Rose M. and Joseph Gervase; and paternal grandparents, Rose and Philip V. Sunseri.
In honoring her wishes, there will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, her family wishes all memorial contributions may be made in her name to Par for the Cure, 913 Dushane St., New Castle, PA 16101.
Burial will take place at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St, New Castle.
