Theodor Wuerch, 94, of New Castle passed away the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, at Golden Hill Nursing Home.
Born on Sept. 3, 1923, in the Ukraine, he was a son of the late Arnold and Othilia Rentz Wuerch.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 66 years, the former Maria Bauml, whom he married on Sept. 22, 1951.
Theodor retired after 35 years of being self-employed in the furniture repair and upholstery business.
He enjoyed working, but, in his later years, he truly loved teaching the Bible to people.
Theodor also was an avid reader.
In addition to his wife, Theodor is survived by his children, Alfred P. Wuerch of Dallas, Texas, and Diana M. Wuerch of San Jose, California; and grandchildren, Annalise Beeler and Matthew Wuerch.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Selma Mittlestadt and Hilda Wuerch.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 2020 Willow Way, officiated by Gilbert Parshall.
Entombment will take place in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
