Wallace L. "Wally" Koch, 93, of Ellwood City died Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at Hospice of the Valley in Poland, Ohio.
Born Aug. 6, 1924 in Franklin Township, he was a son of the late Ernest L. and Arvilla L. Leachman Koch.
He was married to the late Thelma L. Evans (1990) and Betty L. Carroll (2016).
Wally graduated from Lincoln High School.
He served in the Army during World War II.
He retired from U.S. Steel in 1975, and then worked at Shenango Pottery and Butler Auto Auction.
Wally was a member of First Assembly of God Church in New Castle and attended the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Ellwood City.
Survivors include a brother, Fenton C. (Peggy) Koch of Ohio; two daughters, Cindy Taylor of Niles, Ohio, and Linda Layton of New Port Richey, Florida; four stepdaughters, Jackie A. Streckeisen and Bonnie L. (Aaron) Stabryla, both of Ellwood City, Dawn (John) Contrucci of Erie and Cynthia R. (Dwayne) Martin of Winchester, Virginia; four grandchildren, Scott and Mark Taylor, Jessica Houtz and Ashley Crawford; eight stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-greatgrandchildren; two nephews; a niece; and a great-niece.
He was preceded in death by a son, Harry Koch; and grandson, Nathan Layton.
Visiting hours will be held 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
