William's Story

William "Bill" Klabon Jr., 90, of New Castle passed away the morning of Oct. 20, 2017, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
William was born June 17, 1927, in New Castle. He was the son of the late William and Mary Bogdjewicz Klabon Sr.
He was married to the late Stelfa J. Brysh. She preceded him in death on Jan. 1, 2014. They were married for 70 years.
William was a member of Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church.
Mr. Klabon retired after 57 total years of service as a Die Setter at the former Johnson Bronze and New Castle Bearing companies. William was a member of the Bessemer Rod and Gun Club and Pymatuning outboard Motor Club. Mr. Klabon enjoyed fishing, boating, gardening, woodworking and being in the outdoors.
William is survived by two daughters, Sally A. (Walter) Krolicki and Karen M. (Larry) Gaggiano, all of New Castle; brother, Paul (Patricia) Klabon of New Castle; three sisters, Sophia (Frank) Jereb of Bessemer, Louise (William) Kielar of New Castle and Ann (Chester) Warzala of Cleveland, Ohio; four grandchildren, Stephen Krolicki, Craig Krolicki, Michele Stanley and Gina Russell; six great-grandchildren, Kyle Stanley, Shay Stanley, Jacob Russell, Christopher Russell, Joseph Russell and Abigail Krolicki.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Joseph Klabon, and four sisters, Mary Murdock, Jenny Koprivinak, Agnes Ronan and Helen Robosky.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St.
A funeral service and Rite of Committal will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. The Very Rev. John A. Rencewicz II, pastor of Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Cemetery.
