Anthony M. "Babe" Ross, 79, of Neshannock Township passed away the evening of Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, in UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Born on May 27, 1937, in New Castle, he was a son of the late Frank A. Sr. and Theresa Pacelli Ross.
Surviving at home is his beloved wife of 53 years, the former Marlene Pagley, whom he married on May 4, 1963.
Anthony retired after working as a sales representative for different companies in the food and auto industries.
He was a member of St. Vitus Church. A 1956 NeCaHi graduate, he belonged to American Federation of Musicians Local 118 of Warren, Ohio, and was a jazz percussionist.
In addition to his wife, Anthony is survived by his children, Frank Anthony Ross and his wife, Sherry, of New Castle, Erin Cupelli and her husband, Frank, of Chippewa and Brian Michael Ross and his wife, Faye, of Athens, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Anthony, Milana, Dillon and Giovanni.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard N. Ross and Frank (Buddy) Ross Jr.; and his sister, Dolores Latina.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vitus Church to attend a Mass of Christian burial.
Interment will take place in Parkside Cemetery.
