Carol Ruth Thomas, 69, of North Beaver Township passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017, at UPMC-Jameson Hospital.
Carol was born in New Castle on June 24, 1947, a daughter of the late Walter C. and Louise Cox Hopper.
Carol graduated from Mohawk Area High School and had attended Youngstown State University.
She was an employee of Sears in the customer service department.
She married John M. Thomas on Dec. 26, 1991, and he survives.
She was a member of the Bessemer Presbyterian Church.
She was loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
She leaves behind her husband, John, at home; her daughters, Renee Antuono of Los Angeles and Melissa Antuono, also of Los Angeles, and Dana McConahy (Toby) of New Castle; her grandchildren, Spencer and Kasey McConahy also of New Castle; her sister, Susan Owens of New Castle; and her brother, Norman Hopper of Lynchburg, Virginia.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Arthur Hopper
Carol's family will receive friends at the Terry A. Cunningham Funeral Home in Bessemer from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
A service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at the Bessemer Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Nathan Leslie officiating,
