Cleophus A. Jackson Jr., 33, of New Castle went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 26, 2017.
Cleophus was born on May 21, 1983, in New Castle at Jameson Health System to the Rev. Dr. Cleophus A. Jackson Sr. and Jennie M. Brown Jackson.
Cleophus enjoyed cooking and playing the drums at his church. He also volunteered at Feed My Sheep Ministries. He loved to play the bass guitar. Cleophus loved playing football, and he had played for New Castle High School.
He had been a local ambassador in Italy. He was a member of Faith Gospel Fellowship Church.
Prior to his death, Cleophus was a former employee at InfoCision and Wal-Mart.
Leaving to celebrate his life, along with his parents, are his siblings, Kimberly Donell and her husband, Robert, and Charity Jackson, both of New Castle, and Tasha Parker of Chicago, Illinois. He will also be sadly missed by his family, aunts, uncles, nephews, a host of cousins and many, many friends and his BFF Melissa.
Cleophus was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nelson E. Brown Sr., Lillie M. Brown, Emma Jackson and William Jackson.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Samuel Hill of Faith Gospel Fellowship in Volant.
Interment will take place in Parkside Cemetery.
