Donald L. Bredl, 87, formerly of 228 Old Hickory Road, Mount Jackson, passed away at Masternik Care Facility, New Middletown, Ohio, on Monday, May 1, 2017.
Don was the son of the late William and Bessie Moody Bredl and was the youngest of seven children, all of whom preceded him in death.
Born in Pittsburgh on Feb. 9, 1930, he graduated from Carrick High School, where he was a football standout earning a scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh.
Don was a devout Catholic and worked for Bell Telephone for 38 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, sports, watching his grandchildren in their various sports and was a very adept handyman capable of fixing just about anything. His love of sports included watching football games but was well known for the years he coached Little League baseball.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Dolly, and two grandchildren, He is survived by his four sons Donald Jr. (Toni) Bredl of Austin, Texas, David (Ginny) Bredl of New Castle, Jim (Barbie) Bredl of Enon Valley and Mark (Paula) Bredl of Grove City, along with nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren,
