Donna Jean Kobialka, 80, of West Pittsburg passed away the morning of Feb. 21, 2017, at Sharon Regional Hospital.
Born on Jan. 11, 1937, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late William and Pearl Smock Regan. On Oct. 6, 1955, she married her beloved husband, Joseph Kobialka, and the two spent 44 wonderful years together until he preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 1999.
Donna retired as a houseparent and clerk for New Castle City Mission and Covenant House. A devout member of Evangel Community Church, she loved attending church and reading her Bible. Donna also loved doing crossword puzzles and Sudoku and watching "Jeopardy."
Donna is survived by her children, LuEllen Kobialka and her significant other Alan Hoffman of West Pittsburg, Susan Krueger and husband Jeff of New Castle and Joseph R. Kobialka and wife Phyllis of New Castle; brothers, William Regan and wife Dorothy and Herbert Regan and wife Patty, all of New Castle; sister, Betty Kumrow and husband Carl of West Pittsburg; grandchildren, Bradley and Cory Krueger, Joseph R. Jr., Jeremy, Jaime and Jason Kobialka; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. Services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Harry Edenhofer.
Interment will take place in Grandview Cemetery.
