Former New Castle resident Edward V. Bullano, 90, passed away on Aug. 24, 2017, in Palm Bay, Fla.
Born on July 10, 1927, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Joseph Sr. and Jenny Delillo Bullano. On Sept. 16, 1950, he married his beloved wife, the former Margaret Paglia, and the two of them spent more than 55 years together until she preceded him in death on Sept. 11, 2006.
Edward worked his way from Union Machinist to Plant Manager for the Johnson Bronze Corp. when he retired after 40 years of working. After retiring, he worked for Catholic Cemeteries of Lawrence County.
He also served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during World War II. Edward was a member of St. Vitus Church. He was a Golden Age Eagle with the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 455. Edward enjoyed gardening and making wine.
Edward is survived by his children, Edward Bullano Jr. and wife Susan of Richmond, Va., Cindy Huff and husband Dennis of Palm Bay, Fla., Chris Bullano and wife Jodi of Richmond, Va., and Carolyn Johnson and husband Kenny of Amelia, Va.; brother, Joseph Bullano Jr. of New Castle; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill, Sam and John Bullano.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, at noon at St. Vitus Church, conducted by Father Zach Galiyas.
Interment will take place in St. Vitus Cemetery.
