Elizabeth B. Moore, 73, of New Castle passed away peacefully on Feb. 24, 2017, in Allegheny General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Elizabeth was born on May 26, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio, to Paul and Georgia Blankenship Blanchard. Elizabeth was married to the late Chester "Joe" Moore.
For many years, she worked as a cook in the restaurant business. She also worked as a paraprofessional for the Boy Scouts and at the Board of Elections. Elizabeth was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed reading and making crafts in her leisure time.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Leonard "Butch" Blanchard, and her sister, Dorothy Henderson.
Elizabeth will be sadly missed by her son and daughter-in-love, David (Carla) Blanchard of New Castle and Ray Goshert of Clarion; her daughter, Angela "Baby Girl" Harris of Clarion; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; devoted friends, Barb and Betty Thompson of New Castle; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 2, 2017, from 5 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. at Charlotte A. Sheffield Funeral Home Inc., 454 Chestnut St.
