Frank A. Antuono, 75, of 503 E. Hazelcroft Ave., New Castle, passed away the evening of May 31, 2017, at his residence.
Frank was born May 21, 1942, in Versano, Italy. He was the son of the late Carmen and Almerinda Zepetella Antuono.
Mr. Antuono was married to the former Evelyn Koszela. He was married to his beloved wife for 53 wonderful years. She survives at home. Frank was a devoted Catholic and attended St. Camillus de Lellis Parish.
Mr. Antuono retired after 50-plus years of service as owner-operator of Frank Antuono's Barber Shop and Hairstyling here in New Castle. He was always known as "Frank the Barber" around town. His welcoming smile, and bright blue eyes made visiting his shop worth your while. He was always there to lend a helping hand. Frank was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 512. He enjoyed going bowling, fishing and traveling with his family to the ocean. His greatest joy was spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Evelyn, he is survived by three sons, Frank A. (Roni Lynn) Antuono Jr., David C. (Lena) Antuono, both of New Castle, and Steve M. (Lisa) Antuono of Ellwood City, Pa; two brothers, Anthony (Florence) Antuono of Arizona, and Mario Antuono of New Castle; four sisters, Carmella Oliva, Clara (Robert) Druschel, Susan (Andrew) Kladitis and Maria Pruitt, all of New Castle; seven grandchildren, Steven Antuono Jr., Adrienne Antuono, Adriana Antuono, Gabriella Antuono, Frankie Antuono, Anna Antuono and Joey Antuono.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Genevieve Casbero and Anna Marie Antuono.
Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2017, at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St., New Castle.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Monday for St. Camillus de Lellis Parish, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. The Rev.
