Gerald 'Jerry''s Story
Gerald H. "Jerry" Haney, 82, of Chippewa Township and North Fort Myers, Fla., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver.
He was born Feb. 15, 1935. in Freedom to the late William F. and Mary (Sariochek) Haney.
He was a Beaver Falls High School graduate, class of 1953; attended Clarion University; and was an Army veteran. He retired from IBM as an Engineering Manager. He faithfully attended New Life Baptist Church, New Wilmington, Pa., and Windmill Village Chapel, North Fort Myers, Fla. He was an avid golfer and lifetime member of both the Beaver Falls Elks BPOE Lodge 348 and the VFW Murrells Inlet, S.C.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy E. (Schwenk) Keslar Haney, Chippewa Township; stepchildren, Rick and Ronny Keslar of Florida, Randy Keslar of New Castle and Amy (Greg) Nisula of Utah; eight stepgrandchildren, Kelli and Britt, Hunter and Harrison, Brandon and Dalton, and Lexy and Gabe; three stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, William K. Haney of Chippewa Township; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Willard Snowberger of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; former sister-in-law, Linda Steffens of Chippewa Township; four nieces, Susan DiSilvestro, Kristen Massa, Jayne Watterson and Vicki Kane; a nephew, Larry Snowberger; eight great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia (Parkhill) Haney, in 2002 and a sister-in-law, Joyce Haney.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HILL AND KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held Monday at 11 a.m.
