Hazel M. Copper, 86, of New Castle passed away the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, with her family by her side.
Born Oct. 14, 1930, in New Castle, she was a daughter of John W. and Margaret Douglas Stickel.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Ralph Copper, on Aug. 19, 2017.
A 1950 graduate of New Castle High School, Hazel was a homemaker.
She was a longtime member of Highland Presbyterian Church.
She was a volunteer for Contact EARS, as well as the Red Cross and hostess shop at St. Francis Hospital for many years.
Among her many interests, Hazel enjoyed swimming, baking and especially watching her grandchildren.
Surviving are her two children and their spouses, daughter Gwendolyn (Michael) Radachy and son, Ernest (Mary Beth) Copper, all of New Castle; a sister, Mabel DeGraw of New Castle; four grandchildren, Cassandra Allen, Jay Copper, Jessica Copper and Kyle Radachy; and two great-grandchildren, Levi and Eli Allen.
In addition to her parents and former husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clair W. Stickel; and an infant daughter.
Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, with a memorial service at 7 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. The Rev. Richard Kinney will officiate.
