Jane C. Warneck, 84, of New Castle passed away the morning of July 10, 2017, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Jane was born Aug. 25, 1932, in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Nick and Victoria Podolka.
Jane was married to the late Charles T. Warneck. He preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 1997. They were married for 46 years.
Jane was Catholic and attended Holy Trinity Polish National Church. She was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1950.
Mrs. Warneck retired after 20 years of service as a sales clerk at several local bakeries.
Jane will be remembered by her family as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards and loved cooking for her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her four daughters and son-in-law, Dianne Cribbs of New Alexandra, Pa., Barbara McIltrot of New Castle, Charlene (Vincent) McCreary of Columbus, Ohio, and Shannon Warneck, of New Castle; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband Charles, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nellie Krolicki, and son-in-law, Robert McIItrot.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday July 12, 2017, at the Noga Funeral Home Inc.
A Blessing service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. The Very Rev. Marcel Pytlarz will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Cemetery. Online obituary may be viewed by visiting nogafuneralhome.com.
