Jill Ann Strobel, 54, of New Castle passed away the morning of Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Born on Sept. 25, 1962, in New Castle, she was a daughter of Robert D. and May Ann Thompson Taylor.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Donald W. Strobel, whom she married on Nov. 25, 1992.
A 1980 graduate of Laurel High School, Jill worked as a clerk for Axe's Meat Market for four years. She was a receptionist for Butler Refrigerated Meats for 18 years, until her retirement in 2003.
Among her many interests, Jill enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
In addition to her father, who lives in New Castle, and her husband, she is survived by two brothers, Jeff R. (Sue) Taylor and Jay L. Taylor of New Castle; four nephews; two nieces; and a great-niece.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 2004.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.
A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Yergan officiating. Burial will be in Rich Hill Cemetery.
