John Gregory Fields Jr., 25, of 158 6th St., West Pittsburg, passed away the morning of Saturday, July 1, 2017, as a result injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
John was born on June 22, 1992, in Sharon. He was a son of John G. and Terri L. Weaver Fields Sr. They survive at home.
Mr. Fields was of the Christian faith.
He was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 2010. John continued his education at the Thaddeus Stevens Technique School.
Following graduation, he worked for several years as a glass block window installer for Kelly's Auto Glass here in New Castle.
He was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the Lawrence County Sportsman Club. John enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Fields enjoy playing all sorts of different sports, like baseball, football, hockey and basketball. He loved going to and watching professional sports. John was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins fan. He also liked the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
In addition to his parents, John is survived by his brother, Josh D. Fields of West Pittsburg; two sisters, Ashley N. (Jason) Fink of Shinnston, West Virginia, and Kayla L. Fields of West Pittsburg; paternal grandmother, Katherine L. Fields of New Castle; grandparents, Elayne K. (Edward Kimbrough) Weisz of Sharon; maternal grandparents, Loretta J. (Joseph) Macri of New Castle; and his girlfriend for the last seven years, Karrington Bostic. Johnny was to be a first-time uncle on the 7th of July to his nephew, Domanic Joseph Doyle Fink.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Herbert D. Fields.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St., New Castle, PA 16101.
A funeral service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home following visitation. The Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
