Joseph James Luczak, 78, died on Sunday, March 26, 2017, at his home in Delaware, Ohio.
He leaves his wife of 53 years, Patricia Gorgacz Luczak; his daughter, Dr. Lynn Monstwil DDS and son-in-law, Mark; his son, James Luczak and his companion, Tania Pinzon; seven grandchildren; and his sister, Mary Lombardo of Phoenix.
Born in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, he was a son of Joseph and Pearl (Novinsky) Luczak.
After attending Penn State University and achieving an associate's degree in engineering; he served in the Army and was stationed in Korea.
He began his professional career as a draftman in the steel industry, rising to the position of vice president before retiring.
He enjoyed golf, making stained-glass art and owning and restoring antique cars. Above all else, he loved spending time with his close family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joseph's memory to Capital City Hospice, 1650 Watermark Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
A mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 313 N State St, Westerville, Ohio 43082.
Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at Resurrection Cemetery.
