Loretta C. Horvath, 78, of 141 McBride Acres, New Castle, passed away the afternoon of Friday, May 19, 2017, in the Golden Hills Nursing Home.
Mrs. Horvath was born on Nov. 27, 1938, in Northbridge, Massachusetts to the late Abraham and Irene LesColt LeCour.
Loretta was married to Richard J. Horvath for 58 years. He survives at home.
Loretta was a loving homemaker for her husband and five children. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She was a graduate of Northbridge High School, class of 1956.
Loretta enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. She also did crossword puzzles and enjoyed going to Cooks Forest to their camp in the summer on the weekends.
In the winter, she and her husband traveled to Florida and spent their time in Fort Meyers.
In addition to her husband Richard, survivors include her five children and daughter-in-law, Carol L. McFall, Keith R. Horvath and Mark A. (Shannon) Horvath, all of New Castle, Sharon A. McDanel of Darlington and Cathy J. Hart of Chippewa; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents; her brother, Abraham LeCour Jr.; and her sister, Jane Jones.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St., New Castle.
A funeral service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Fredrick Gilbert of Independent Methodist Church officiating.
Rite of Committal and entombment will be in Castle View Mausoleum.
