Louis M. Toscano, 87, of Berger Place, New Castle, died Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle.
He was born on May 5, 1930, in New Castle, a son of the late Anthony and Marie (DiThomas) Toscano.
He was married to Bonita L. (Santia) Toscano on April 24, 1965, and she survives in New Castle.
Mr. Toscano was a code enforcement officer for the city of New Castle, retiring after 20 years.
He was a Navy veteran of the Korean Era.
He enjoyed dancing and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Marguerite Wills and her husband, Terry, of New Castle; a brother, Anthony "Tosk" Toscano of New Castle; two sisters, Norma Fiorito of New Castle and Mary Panasewicz of New Castle; and two grandchildren, Braiden Wills and Kayce Wills.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters, Lenora Piccari, Florence Yanucil and Caroline Toskin.
Private funeral services were held at the William F. and Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave.
Burial will be in the Parkside Cemetery.
