Lucille M. McKissick of Reese Road, Slippery Rock, Scott Township, Lawrence County, died at Curahealth of Pittsburgh at 11:49 a.m. May 10, 2017. She was 84 years old.
Lucille was born Feb. 17, 1933, in New Castle, Pa., to the late John and Mary Miksza Siergiej. She married Wendell McKissick.
Mrs. McKissick was a 1951 graduate of New Castle High School and was a member of the Plain Grove Presbyterian Church. She retired after 30 years at Bell Telephone and then worked for her son at Apple Grove Veterinary Clinic for over 25 years. She enjoyed going to the casino, cooking for her family and reading cookbooks.
She is survived by one daughter, M. Cathy McKissick, at home; two sons, Dr. Jeffrey McKissick and his wife Brenda of New Castle and Rob McKissick and his wife Brenda of Slippery Rock,Scott Township; one sister, Nancy Gentile of New Castle; five grandchildren, Andrew, Katie, Sarah, Lindsay and Emily; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wendell McKissick, and two sisters, Charlotte Kirkwood and Janet Morell.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 13, 2017, from 11 a.m. until the service at 3 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington, Pa. Rev. Loren McQueen of the Eastbrook United Methodist Church will officiate.
