Mary G. Kildoo, 93, formerly of Mount Jackson, Pa., passed away the morning of April 21, 2017, at Shenango Presbyterian SeniorCare.
Born on March 13, 1924, in Hillsville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Michael and Vincenzia (Jennie) Lombardo Caggiano. Mary also was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel Vignoli, who passed away in July 1959. In 1964, she married J. Bill Kildoo, and the two of them spent 44 years together until he preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 2008.
Mary had worked in the food services department for Mohawk Area School District. She was a member of St. Camillus Church. Mary enjoyed gardening, cooking and traveling, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandsons.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Wickman-Epstein and husband Dr. Andrew Epstein of Philadelphia; stepdaughter, Janet Brewer of Simpsonville, S.C.; grandsons, Tood Wickman and Matthew Wickman; and stepgrandson, Dr. Mark Brewer. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her stepson-in-law, Dr. Ralph Brewer; sisters, Lena Penwell, Rose Ann Cossentino and Clara Albanese; and brothers, Anthony, Russell and Victor Caggiano.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. Blessing services will be conducted Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Deacon John Carran.
Entombment will take place in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary's honor to St. Camillus Church, 314 W. Englewood Ave., New Castle, Pa. 16105.
