Mary Ann Rauso, 78, of New Castle passed away the evening of Sunday, April 30, 2017, at her residence.
Born on Feb. 24, 1939, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary A. DeMasi Rauso.
Mary Ann retired as a baggage stitcher for Reliable Luggage.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church.
Mary Ann was a very traditional and family-oriented person, who loved cooking for her family. She also enjoyed visiting casinos and gardening.
Mary Ann is survived by her brother, James Rauso and his wife, Judy, of Hermitage; her sisters, Madeline Gurneal of Hermitage and Regina Chiafullo and her husband, Carl, of New Castle; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Mickie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Vivian Rauso, Rose Marcantino, Francine Carabbia and Gemma Thomas; and her brother, Michael (Mickie) Rauso.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
Blessing services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, officiated by Deacon John Carran.
Interment will take place in St. Lucy Cemetery.
