Maudine Clark, 76, of New Castle passed away the evening of May 30, 2017, at her residence.
Born on Aug. 14, 1940, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Esten and Gatsy Mariah May.
Maudine had worked as a tank tester for Newport News Ship Yard in Virginia, and she later worked on the assembly line for Rockwell International. She was a member of Ebenezer Church of God in Christ. Maudine enjoyed shopping and helping people, especially shopping for others. She also loved taking vacations and being at family events.
Maudine is survived by her children, Daphne C. Sadiki of Columbus, Ohio, Toni L. Perkins, Nathan Perkins, Nadine Perkins-Jones and Irvin C. Perkins, all of New Castle; sisters, Dorothy Dixon of New Castle, Sondra Williams of Hampton, Va., and Linda Davis of Youngstown, Ohio; brothers, Anthony S. May and wife Georgia May of Georgia, Tyrone May and wife Ester May of New Castle and Ernest Kenneth May and wife Phyllis May of New Castle; grandchildren, Carl Perkins, Mario Perkins, Maurice Perkins, Katrina Wise, Talia Perkins and Ivana Perkins; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Stewart.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ebenezer Church of God in Christ. Services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the church, officiated by Elder Eric Brooks.
Interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery.
