Ralph W. Peak Sr., 75, of New Castle passed away the morning of Saturday, March 11, 2017, at his residence.
Born on Nov. 11, 1941, in New Castle, he was a son of the late Harry and Lucy Russo Peak.
Surviving at home is his beloved wife of 51 years, the former Carol Criscito, whom he married on June 5, 1965.
After 30 years of working, Ralph retired as an inspector for Conrail Railroad.
An active member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, he served as an usher for the church. He was a 4th degree member with Knights of Columbus Council 512.
Ralph enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He will always be remembered as a devoted family man, who loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Ralph is survived by his children, Ralph W. Peak Jr. and his wife, Elaine, and Melissa M. (Peak) Sikora and her husband, Edward, all of New Castle; his brothers, Sam Peak and Walter Peak and his wife, Carol, all of New Castle; his sisters, Harriett Bulisco of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Jane Carter of Ft. Mill, South Carolina; and his grandchildren, Alexis Moore, Victoria Peak, Angelo Peak and Matthew Peak.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Ann Peak; his sister, Loretta McKendrick; and his brother, Charles C. Peak.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S Mill St.
A procession will leave DeCarbo's at 9:30 a.m. Thursday to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church, officiated by the Rev. Frank Almade.
Interment will take place in St. Lucy Cemetery.
