Roger J. Bobosky, 55, of 211 Bluff Street passed away the morning of Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Roger was born Nov. 2, 1961, in New Castle. He was a son of the late Joseph and Dolores Smolinski Bobosky.
Mr. Bobosky was of the Roman Catholic faith and was a member Mary, Mother of Hope Parish.
Roger was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1979. He continued his education at Penn State University for three years, and graduated from Edinboro University in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in engineering.
Roger retired after two years of service as a bridge inspector for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
Mr. Bobosky enjoyed playing hockey and softball locally. Roger was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins fan.
Mr. Bobosky is survived by his brother, Joseph J. (Mary) Bobosky of New Castle; two sisters, Dolores A. (Larry) Gwin and Kathleen (William) Miron both of New Castle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his brother, Mark W. Bobosky; and his nephew, Mark Joseph Bobosky.
Calling hours will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Noga Funeral Home Inc.
A Blessing service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Frank D. Almade will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
