Sue Ann Brown, 70, of Wilson Mill Road, New Wilmington, Pa., died at UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell, Pa., on Wednesday evening, May 17, 2017, surrounded by her friends.
Sue was born in Nashville, Tenn., on June 9, 1946, to the late Harley Lee and Rachel Mae Seals Brown.
She graduated from Wilmington High School and started working at Isaly's and then later for the Ben Franklin Store in New Wilmington, Pa. Sue spent the next 15 years working for Shenango Home as a Nurse's Assistant and later worked for Wal-Mart in the crafts and fabrics department.
Sue is survived by lifelong friends, Amy Wagner and Linda Moose; two brothers, Joseph and Kenneth Brown; and five sisters, Brenda DeSalvo, Janice Myers, Deborah Hooks, Cynthia Wiseman and Anita Hooks. Sue had three special pets, Angel, Riley and Bella.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was a sister, Teresa Brown, and four brothers, Allan Brown, Ronald Seals, James Harlan and David DePriest.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kary Schroyer for his kindness and professional care to Sue during her illness.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 20, 2017, from 11 a.m. until the memorial service at 1 p.m. at The Smith Funeral Home, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington, Pa. 16142. Rev. Greg Marshall of New Life Baptist Church will officiate.
Memorials may be given to the Shenango on the Green Benevolent Fund,
South Market Street, New Wilmington, Pa. 16142.
