Alene Alleman ("Jean") Obituary

Ellwood City, PA - Alene "Jean" Alleman, 92, formerly of Ellwood City passed away Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Franciscan Manor in Beaver Falls.

Born Feb. 18, 1934, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Jemima Elizabeth Main Reed. She was married to Raymond Alleman on June 14, 1958. They were married for 50 years when he passed away Jan. 19, 2009.

Jean graduated from Shenango High School and received her nursing degree from Jameson School of Nursing. Jean devoted her life to caring for her family. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and attended church services at many area churches where her son was pastor. She enjoyed biking at Moraine State Park. An avid gardener, Jean also enjoyed flower arranging. She collected Peanuts figurines and Snoopy was her favorite.

Survivors include a sister, Betty Cyphert of New Wilmington; two sisters-in-law, Sue Alleman of Colorado and Shirlene Alleman of Michigan; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Rev. David Alleman, who passed away Sept. 4, 2023, and her twin sister, Eileen "June" Korba.

Private services will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City, with interment following in Castleview Memorial Park.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association.
