New Castle, PA - Alice Marie Baker, 93, of Shenango Treetops in New Castle, passed away May 3, 2026, at Grove Manor Nursing Home in Grove City, Pennsylvania.

Born May 7, 1932, in Erie, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Westell and Beulah (Beerbower) Aiken.

She was preceded in death Feb. 16, 2002, by her beloved husband of 51 years, Clifford E. Baker, whom she married June 17, 1950.

A New Castle High School graduate, Alice worked for Doctors James and Chris Ventresco at several of their practice locations as an office administrator, until her retirement.

Alice and her husband, Clifford, sang in several gospel groups for over 40 years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and singing, known for always having a song in her heart. She was a member of First United Brethren Church.

She is survived by two nieces, Traci Foster of Grove City and Rachel Chamberlain of Harrisville; a nephew, Richard Walters of Slippery Rock; a great-niece and caretaker, Tara Sanderson of Slippery Rock; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews and two great-great-nieces.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Marilyn Moore, and son-in-law Joseph Moore; and a sister, Marcia Carnahan and brother-in-law, Donald Carnahan.

A one-hour visitation will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will be held immediately after visitation at 5 p.m. with Matthew Bupp officiating.

Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
