Allan L. Kneram
Allan L. Kneram, 74, of Bessemer passed away the afternoon of Jan. 11, 2020, at UPMC Jameson.
He was born on Feb. 20, 1945, in New Castle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Kneram and Lillian Evans Navarra; and his step-father, William Navarra.
On March 24, 1969, Allan married his beloved wife, the former Noreen Russo. She preceded him in death on Dec. 20, 2010.
Allan had worked for P & L Railroad until he retired. Following retirement, he drove truck for several years. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vincent DePaul site. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, hunting, fishing and golfing. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was a member of the Croatian Club. He liked to visit casinos. His greatest joy was the time he spent with his family. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor.
Allan is survived by his two daughters, Rae Ann Pezzuolo and her husband, Henry, of Edinburg and Rachelle Kneram of New Castle; and his son, Ryan Kneram of New Castle; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
In addition to his parents, wife and step-father, Allan was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Kneram.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020, at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A Blessing Service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020, at the funeral home. Deacon John Carran will officiate. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform military rites at the funeral home on Wednesday. Burial will be in St. Lucy Cemetery.

It has been a very long time since I saw him, but I did think of him often. You never really forget about family. We were all such a close knit family.Family picnics camping were always a joy. And I’ll get to see all those that left before us give them all our love.
