Hudson, Ohio - Alvin "Dale" Rogers Jr., 68, passed away peacefully in the presence of his wife and children on June 9, 2026.

He was born in Youngstown, raised in New Bedford, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Wilmington High School in 1975.

He was a proud Penn State University alumnus, graduating in 1980 with a B.S. in Business Marketing.

He worked in Atlanta, Georgia; Columbus, Ohio; and Arizona for Drug Emporium, leading projects from the ground up to help launch the rest of his career.

He then settled in Hudson, Ohio, in 1998, working for OfficeMax and JoAnn Fabrics as a buyer and divisional merchandise manager.

In 2004, he married Criss, forming a loving, blended family together with their three sons.

Dale enjoyed golf and loved to read. He was an avid fan of Penn State football (WE ARE!), Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins, and Cleveland "Indians" and Cavaliers.

His strong faith in Jesus was the foundation of his life. He was an active member of Christ Community Chapel, where he served as a deacon and Bible study leader for many years.

He was a committed volunteer at Mobility Worldwide, a global, faith-based and nonprofit organization grounded by its vision of ending immobility in developing countries.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Lavon Rogers; and brother, Robert "Bob" Rogers.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Criss Rogers (née Dieter); sons, James (Ann MacNamara) Rogers and Sam (Emily Chumbler) Rogers; stepson, Logan List; granddaughters, Ada and Joan Rogers; and sister, Barb (George) Shaffer.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 14, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Pastor Mark Lyle will conduct a service at 4 p.m. Monday, June 15, at Christ Community Chapel, 750 W. Streetsboro St., Hudson, OH 44236.
