Amanda Janelle Emery, 32, of West Liberty Borough, Slippery Rock, Pa., passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016.

She was born in Grove City, Pa., on September 6, 1984, to Steven Gaylord Emery and Tammy Elizabeth Stewart Emery. She attended Mount Zion Baptist Church and had formerly worked at Giant Eagle in Slippery Rock and Michaels Craft Store in Butler. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Amanda is survived by her parents, Steven and Tammy Emery of Slippery Rock; her companion, Gary Delaney and their children, Evan M. Delaney and Branden A. Delaney of Slippery Rock; her maternal grandmother, Bertha E. Stewart; and two brothers, Chad L. Emery of New Castle and Shayne W. Emery of Slippery Rock.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Richard L. Stewart, and her paternal grandparents, Gaylord A. and Gladys I. Watson Emery.

The family will receive friends at the Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held privately on Thursday, December 22, at the funeral home with Pastor Ben Oesterling, pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church, presiding. Memorial contributions may be given to the Slippery Rock Fire Department and Rescue Squad or the Slippery Rock Feed My Sheep Food Cupboard.
