New Castle, PA - Anna Fandozzi, 84, of New Castle passed away the afternoon of May 19, 2025, at her residence, with her family by her side.

Anna was born Nov. 2, 1940, in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Anton and Mary (Henzel) Shish.

Anna was married to the late Elmo C. Fandozzi. He preceded her in death Sept. 5, 2008. They were married May 10, 1958, and spent 50 years together.

Mrs. Fandozzi was Roman Catholic and a member of Holy Spirit Parish, Mary, Mother of Hope site.

Mrs. Fandozzi will be remembered by her family as a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She worked at the former Riley's Funspot, and retired from Walmart in the receiving department after more than 19 years.

Anna loved playing bingo and doing Seek-n-Find puzzles. She also loved both her cat and dog. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Anna is survived by her three children, Cynthia M. (Blair) Earnest of Penn Run, Pennsylvania, Michael A. (Jeanne) Fandozzi of Merrimack, New Hampshire, and Theresa A. (John) Henry of New Castle; two brothers, Joseph Henzel of Williamsburg, Virginia, and John Shish of New Castle; two sisters, Julia (Steven) Colich and Amelia (Fred) Tanner, both of New Castle; seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Erin, Alexander, Johnelle, Eva, Evan and Annabelle; four great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Landyn, Maleyah and Aveya; and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Elmo, Anna was preceded in death by her six brothers, Anthony Shish, Alexander Shish, Martin Shish, Steve Shish, Julian Shish and Martin Mucha; and her sister, Catherine Dec.

Following her wishes, there are no calling hours. The family is requesting to meet at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2025, for a Mass of Christian burial at Holy Spirit Parish-Mary, Mother of Hope. Rev. Aaron Kriss, parochial vicar of Holy Spirit Parish, will officiate. Rite of Committal and burial will be in Madonna Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home, Inc.
