Anthony F. Gidaro, 55, of Union Township passed away the evening of Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital.

He was born on Sept. 12, 1962, in New Castle. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Alphonsina "Florence" Sanfelice.

Surviving at home is his wife of 18 years, the former Julie Kennedy, whom he married on July 22, 2000.

Anthony worked as a glass inspector for Consolidated Glass with the Glaziers Local Union 847.

He was a member of St. Vitus Church.

Anthony enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf and playing cards.

A loving husband, father, brother and grandfather, his favorite time of the year was Christmas with his family.

In addition to his wife, Anthony is survived by his children, Anthony Gidaro and Ryan Gidaro, both of New Castle; stepchildren, Nicole Rich of New Castle, Jessica Leasure of Pulaski and Justin Taylor of Conway, Pennsylvania; sister, Denise Vanazia of New Castle; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.

A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friday to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Vitus Church, officiated by the Rev. William Siple.

Interment will take place in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
