Audrey Rae Price Beatty, 85, of Volant passed away at her residence on Thursday, April 27, 2023.

She was born June 14, 1937, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, to Raymond Cole Price and Ceola Frances Davis Price.

She married William Thomas Beatty on Feb. 11, 2003, and he preceded her in death on April 27, 2014. Audrey was a homemaker and drove semi tractor-trailers across the country for many years. She taught her son to drive.

She later returned to school to become a licensed practical nurse, retiring in 2003 from Orchard Manor in Grove City.

She was a former member of the Grove City Eastern Star and White Shrine, and former member and Past Matron of Eastern Star Chapter No. 333 in New Castle.

Audrey enjoyed quilting and scrapbooking.

Survivors include her son, Donald R. Smith of Volant; two daughters, Rae Lynn Smith of Volant and Lea Ann Kuth of Harmony, Pennsylvania; a brother, Randall L. Price of Ft. Meyers, Florida; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Darren, in 1982; and three brothers, Ronald C., Richard A. and Raymond J. Price.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2023, at the Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, PA with Rev. Matt Bupp presiding.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2023, at the Smith Funeral Home in Slippery Rock.

Interment will be in South Plain Grove Cemetery following Monday's service.
