Bette J. Giancola
Bette J. Giancola, 88, of New Castle passed away the evening of Feb. 13, 2020, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Born in Harmony, Pennsylvania, on March 17, 1931, Bette was a daughter of the late Paul and Mary Gierlach Baker.
Preceding her in death on March 2, 2014, was her husband, Alfred J. Giancola Sr., whom she married on Feb 5, 1969.
Bette enjoyed sewing, baking, cooking and gardening. Bette loved her cat, Gracie, and her granddaughter's dogs. She cherished the times she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children, Joe Giancola of New Castle, Gary Lautenslager and wife, Susan, of Bessemer, Cindy Glass and husband, Gary, of Hermitage and Lisa Calabrese and husband, David, of Monroe, Michigan; her sister, Mary Rose Loch of Medina, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Bette was preceded in death by her two brothers, Jay Baker and Jim Lubits.
Honoring her wishes, there are no calling hours and services are private.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
