Gainesville, VA - Betty Jean (Glasser) McConahy, 91, passed away peacefully with family by her side in Gainesville, Virginia, on June 17, 2025.
A longtime resident of Shenango Township, she was born Nov. 21, 1933, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, to Russell and Wilma Glasser.
Betty was a woman of quiet faith and a member of Harmony Baptist Church, where she found comfort and community over the years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William McConahy; daughters, Tami Troscianecki and Janine Blythe; and her sister, Deloris McGary.
She was survived at the time of her passing by her sisters, Connie Reynolds and Beverly Brandt (who passed soon after); four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many extended family members who remember her for her steady presence and enduring faith.
Private arrangements are being made by the family.
