I am a friend of Stu and Mary Anne Knecht and have been coming to their cabin next to Clair’s for but twenty years . I have enjoyed many wonderful conversations over the years with Clair about gardening and dogs. What a dear sweet man who I’ll miss especially when I come back to Martin’s Lane. My sincerest sympathies.

We will miss Clair and his smiling face every time we come to the cabin. He gave us the most amazing sweet potatoes from his garden this year. He always had a newsy story to tell, he laughed so easily, and was so welcoming to us when we walked up the road to see him. Rest in peace Clair, we will miss you very much.
