Hermitage, PA - Carol A. McCree, 87, formerly of Hillsville, passed away the evening of Jan. 31, 2026, at her residence in Hermitage, Pennsylvania.

Carol was born Sept. 13, 1938, in Dearborn, Michigan, to the late Albert E. and Ann S. Bravis Criss.

On June 1, 1959, Carol married her beloved husband, Frank C. McCree Sr. Frank preceded her in death Feb. 24, 1998.

Carol had worked as a registered nurse in the maternity ward of Jameson Hospital for 22 years, until she retired.

Carol was a member of Holy Spirit Parish.

She was an avid reader. Carol enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends.

A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Carol's greatest joy was her family and being part of their lives and all their activities.

Carol is survived by her six children, Christy Friesner (Lane), Frank McCree Jr. (Diane), Jacqueline Beynon (Keith), Valerie Jennings (Jeff), Allan J. McCree (Cara) and Steve McCree; two sisters, Nancy Jacobs and Betty Jane Criss; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will visit from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Camillus Church, officiated by Father Aaron Kriss.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
