Mars, Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania - Charles J. Ridgley, 81, of Wittenburg Way died Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at St. John's Specialty Care Center in Mars, Pennsylvania.

He was born in New Castle, the son of the late Herbert and Anna (Anderson) Ridgley.

Charles was married to the late Marguerite "Margi" (Micaletti) Ridgley, who died April 11, 2021.

Mr. Ridgley worked as a foreman for Universal Rundle, then New Castle Refractories, where he retired from after many of years.

Charles was an umpire for 20 years for local baseball. He was also a die-hard Red Sox fan. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by three children, Eric C. Ridgley and his wife, Jennifer, of Wexford, Pennsylvania, Alyssa A. Bucci and her husband, Todd, of Moon Township, Pennsylvania, and Marc J. Ridgley and his wife, Theresa, of Baltimore, Maryland; and four grandchildren, Gianna Bucci, Harper Ridgley, Genevieve Ridgley and Nolan Ridgley.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Boak.
