New Castle, PA - Cheryl Lynn Emes, 62, of New Castle passed away the morning of Jan. 4, 2026, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born in New Castle on June 9, 1963, Cheryl was the daughter of the late William and Maryedna (Miles) Reid.

Cheryl is survived by her beloved husband of 31 years, Robert Emes, Jr.

Cheryl had been working for Infocision as a phone operator. She was an avid wrestling fan, enjoyed watching her crime shows and game shows on TV. Cheryl enjoyed playing bingo, fishing and doing crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed watching her son's accomplishments and baking with her daughter. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Cheryl's greatest joy was the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Cheryl is survived by her three children, Robert M. Emes (Cami), Kristen M. Emes and Missy Colwell; two brothers, William Reid and William Miles; her sister, Tammy Reid; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson and her fur babies.

In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by her son, Camron Reid and infant sister, April.

A memorial service will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
