Claudia Jean Wimer, 85, of Wampum, passed away Monday, Dec. 26, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospital from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Dec. 7.
Born Oct. 26, 1937, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late William and Winona McDonald Bartholomew.
Claudia had graduated from Union High School, then from the New Castle School of Business.
She was employed by Jameson Memorial Hospital for many years, working as a biller and bookkeeper.
She enjoyed doing puzzles and making personal greeting cards.
Survivors include her son, Rev. Mike (Deanna) Wimer of Wampum; daughter, Rae Lynn (Steve) Misco of Shenango Township; stepbrother, Earl "Skip" (Debby) Davis of Shenango Township; half-sister, Diane Martin of New Castle; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Bessie Shoaff.
The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the 1 p.m. memorial service Jan. 7. 2023, at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St. Wampum.
