Cranberry, Twp., PA - Craig Alan Genkinger, age 72, of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, formerly of New Castle, passed away the evening of Feb. 5, 2026, at AHN Wexford Hospital.
Born Oct. 15, 1953, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Jean Ruth (Campbell) Genkinger.
On Oct. 4, 1980, he married his beloved wife of 45 years, the former Margaret "Maggie" Ann Byers. Mrs. Genkinger survives at home.
Craig was a graduate of Neshannock High School. He went on to earn his bachelor's degree in accounting from Westminster College.
Craig was the senior vice president and financial adviser at Janney Montgomery Scott until his retirement.
Golfing, biking, listening to the blues and watching The Three Stooges were some of Craig's favorite hobbies. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers and Pirates.
Craig was a dedicated member of the United Way and Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
Above everything else in life, what gave him the most joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Craig was a session member of Neshannock Presbyterian Church.
Along with his wife, survivors include one son, Jeffrey (Kathleen) Genkinger of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Amy (David) White of Renfrew, Pennsylvania; one brother, Bruce Genkinger of Mercer, Pennsylvania; one sister, Evelyn Genkinger of New Castle, Pennsylvania; three grandsons, Tyler, Jordan and Noah Genkinger; two granddaughters, Jessica (Jeffrey) Jordano and Olivia White; and two great-grandchildren, James and Vivian.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Neshannock Presbyterian Church, 330 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington. PA, 16142.
A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Neshannock Presbyterian Church, 330 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington, PA, 16142, with Pastor Mike Spicuzza officiating.
Burial will be at Neshannock Presbyterian Cemetery.
