New Brighton, PA - Dakoda J. Iannarelli, 38, known lovingly as Kody Bear, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 22, 2025, surrounded by family at Allegheny General Hospital.
Dakoda was born July 5, 1987 to Joseph and Sandy (Perry) Iannarelli.
He married the love of his life, the former Ashley Polding, on June 21, 2024. She survives at home.
Kody formerly served as a volunteer firefighter with the Mahoning Township Fire Department.
He currently worked at Tuma Lawn Service and Landscaping.
Kody enjoyed spending time in nature and camping. He was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Kody loved raising his chickens and his two guinea pigs, Jaxs and Harris.
Most of all, Kody loved the time he spent with his family and friends, especially his wife, Ashley.
Kody will be deeply missed by his parents; wife; brother, Mat Iannarelli (Monica); sisters, Janet Iannarelli, Vickki Simmons (Bob) and Maggie Nickols (Adam); and his aunts, uncles, cousins and three nieces and three nephews.
Dakoda was preceded in death by his grandparents and his Aunt Carol Frketich.
Dakoda was an organ donor, and in his passing, he was able to save and improve the lives of several people.
Family will receive visitors from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home, 3000 Wilmington Road. The funeral service will follow, officiated by Matthew Kinlock. Online condolences may be offered at decarbofh.com.
