Daniel Aluisia Obituary

Daniel Aluisia, 86, formerly of Jackson Avenue, New Castle, died on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, at Haven Convalescent Home in New Castle.

He was born on Aug. 7, 1930, in New Castle, a son of the late Alexander Aluisia and Amina (Franchi) Giancola. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Domenick Giancola.

He was married to the late Donna M. (Deli) Aluisia, who died on April 24, 2006.

Mr. Aluisia was a truck driver for Lightning Express, retiring after 20 years.

He was a member of Teamsters Local 261 and enjoyed playing cards and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates fan.

He is survived by three daughters, Noreen A. Zacharewski and her husband, Richard Cheetah, of New Castle, Sharon L. Mangino and her husband, Larry, of Richmond, Virginia, and Joy A. Audino and her husband, Joseph, of New Castle; four grandchildren, Joseph Mangino, Carlee Zacharewski, Ashleigh Zacharewski and Brittany Mangino; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lyda Romanio, and Lena Calve; and his granddaughter, Brandee Mangino.

Private funeral services will be held at the William F. and Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave.

Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
