David M. Anderson Jr., 62, of 602 Sumner Ave. died July 29, 2006, in Kingwood, W.Va. Born Sept. 21, 1943, in New Castle, he was a son of David M. Sr. and Betty Jane Duffy Anderson. His father preceded him in death. His mother survives in New Castle. He married the former Edith Ann Williamson on Aug. 30, 1991. She survives. Mr. Anderson was a retired Pennsylvania corrections officer. An Army veteran, he served with a Special Forces unit. He was a member of the Mercer County ABATE Club. A motorcycle enthusiast, he also loved traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include six daughters, Dodi Frankovich, Sondra Wethli, Kelly Anderson and Sherry Anderson, all of New Castle, and Melissa George and Bonnie Whetzel, both of Pulaski; five sons, David M. Anderson III and L. Craig Kline, both of New Castle, Brian Anderson of Kittanning, and Gerald Kline Jr. and Robert Kline, both of Pulaski; a brother, Charles Anderson of New Castle; two sisters, Gloria Jean Kneram of New Castle and Dora Shannon of Warren, Ohio; 24 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, William C. Anderson. Visitation is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Bill Beck will officiate. Burial will be in Plain Grove Cemetery.
