David G. Cartwright Obituary

New Castle, Pennsylvania - David Garth Cartwright, 63, of Adams Street, New Castle, died Saturday, March 16, 2019, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

He was born April 21, 1955, in New Castle, a son of the late Henry Cartwright and the late Violet (Clark) Daytner.

He was married to Christine Ann (Zedick) Cartwright on June 21, 1983. She survives in New Castle.

Mr. Cartwright was a body man at Nick's Auto Body, retiring after 30 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and repairing and restoring cars.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, David Cartwright, Tammy Turner and her husband, Eric, John Zedick, Robert Cartwright, Sasha Cartwright and Lisa Cartwright, all of New Castle; a brother, Jeffrey Cartwright of New Castle; a sister, Marilyn Kerns of Linesville, Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Henry and Wesley Cartwright.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the William F. and Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave.

Memorial services will be held at noon Saturday at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating.
