New Castle, PA - David A. Cis, 77, of 545 McCombs Circle, New Castle, passed away the morning of Sept. 30, 2025, in UPMC Jameson Hospital.
David was born Nov. 8, 1947, in New Castle to the late Anthony J. and Minnie J. (Trimble) Cis.
David was married for 50 years to the former Mary C. Miller. She survives at home.
Mr. Cis worked as a machinist at B&W, Rockwell International and, most recently, Elliott Brothers Steel in New Castle.
He graduated from Shenango High School, class of 1965. David earned an associate degree from YSU in business administration, and in 1993 received an associate degree from New Castle School of Trades in electrical technology.
He was an avid Steelers and sports fan.
He enjoyed being around his family most of all.
Survivors include his wife, Mary C. Cis of New Castle; sisters-in-law, Geneva R. Reno of Hermitage, Pennsylvania, and Mary Cis of Minnesota; aunt, Mella M. Nuzzo of New Castle; three nephews, Edward J. Reno of Hermitage, Ryan A. Cis and Evan A. Cis, both of Minnesota.
David was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Richard A. Cis.
Visitation for family and friends will be celebrated from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025, at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 S. Mill St., New Castle.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 10 a.m. Monday for HSP, St. Vitus Site, for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Aaron Kriss, parochial vicar of Holy Spirit Parish, will officiate. Committal and entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum following.
