New Castle, PA - David Eric McConnell, 69, of Union Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by his sons, on Thursday morning, Feb. 19, 2026, in his home.
Mr. McConnell was born Nov. 18, 1956, in New Castle, a son of the late Ernest G. and Geraldine (Lytle) McConnell.
He was a 1974 graduate of Lawrence County Vo-Tech.
After high school, he graduated from the Pennsylvania Gunsmith School and operated his own gunsmithing business for many years. Ultimately, he retired from Fireline, Inc., Youngstown, Ohio.
David is survived by his two sons, Sean (Ashley) McConnell, Sanford, Florida, and Kyle (Taylor) McConnell, Volant; four grandchildren, Aiden, Ian, Lily and Jayse; sister, Diane L. McConnell, New Bedford; and brother, Tim G. McConnell, Pulaski.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
