New Castle - Deborah Kay Carr of Meadowview Boulevard, New Castle, Pennsylvania passed away Monday, April 21, 2025, at Shenango Presbyterian Senior Care, New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. She was 77 years old.

She was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania, to the late Theodore and Ruth Cotton Tennant.

She married Gerald W. Carr on Dec. 18, 1964. He survives at the residence.

Debbie was a graduate of Wilmington High School and retired as a secretary at Westminster College.

She was a member of the Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church, New Castle, Pennsylvania.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Beth (John) Buly of Quakertown, Pennsylvania; two sons, Doug (Jeannie) Carr of New Castle and Heath (Carla) Carr of Detroit, Michigan; one sister, Sandra Nickles of Rootstown, Ohio; five grandchildren, Nick (Grace) and Noah Buly and Addison, Aidan and Kelton Carr; and one great-gGrandson, William Buly.

In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Sholler; and a grandson, Jordan Carr.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2025 at The Smith Funeral Home 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington, PA. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2025, at Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church, 220 E. Clen-Moore Blvd., New Castle, PA The Rev. Michael Spicuzza will officiate.

Memorials may be given to Clen-Moore Church or The American Cancer Society for leukemia research.
